The hills have spies

Set in the world of Valdemar, “The Hills Have Spies” opens when Mags, the King’s Spy warned by a retired Herald living in a village along the border of the Pelagirs about disappearances and missing peddlars sets out for Whithern with his thirteen-year-old son Peregrine (Perry) who has the Gift of Animal Mindspeech and has been training for years to follow in his father’s footsteps.
